COVID-19 UPDATES: WE ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS

26th March 2020:

PENRITH’S ONLY FUNERAL HOME WITH ONSITE MORTUARY AND CHAPEL FACILITIES.

In line with the government guideline update on Tuesday evening (23rd March) we are now able to hold a maximum of  10 people  in our onsite chapel, this includes the celebrant and any essential funeral staff.

Our chapel has a normal capacity of 70 people, so it is spacious to social distancing. We are offering complimentary webcasting for all funerals in our chapel. We can also organise professional photography and videography (at an additional cost).  We can work with each family on memorial options for a later time when these restrictions are lifted.

All of our offices / chapel and vehicles are being fully disinfected multiple times a day, including before and after anyone comes in.

We are offering online and telephone funeral arrangement options in line with social distancing best practice.

23rd March 2020:

PENRITH’S ONLY FUNERAL HOME WITH ONSITE MORTUARY AND CHAPEL FACILITIES.

In line with the advice given today 23rd March 2020; we are following the following restriction notice:

“Religious gatherings, places of worship or funerals (in enclosed spaces and other than very small groups and where the 1 person per 4 square metre rule applies).”

What this means is that we can still hold funerals in our chapel; at Leura Memorial Gardens; at Pinegrove and local churches. However the number of people that can attend is very limited. Chapels that normally seat 100 people now have a capacity of only 20 for example.

We have WEBCASTING available in our chapel; complimentary. We can arrange videography if you would prefer.

We want you to have a funeral service for your loved one so that you can say goodbye.

We have increased our hygiene measures so you know that you and your loved ones are safe.

March 15th Update:

Your health and safety and that of our team members is our highest concern at the moment.

We, as always, are going to provide your loved one and your family with the highest possible care. We have introduced increased hygiene practices which include all surfaces, door handles, light switches, bathrooms etc are disinfected before and after clients come in and regularly though the day. We have always upheld the highest of hygiene standards. We have hand sanitiser available on funeral services and through our offices.

Our team will not come into the office if they are unwell.

What we request from you is that if you have
Travelled overseas in the past 14 days
Been in contact with a known COVID-19 case
Any of the symptoms which include:

  • Cough
  • Fever
  • Sore Throat
  • Tiredness
  • Body Aches
  • General Cold & Flu Symptoms.

We ask that before coming into the office, you please call us. We have many ways of organising a funeral service that don’t require being in the same room and we can work with you on the best way to do this. We are fully set up online that all choices can be made from the website and with a call or a video conference.
We ask this because as a team we need to stay well, we need to be able to serve our community in an already trying time. We are in contact with people who are high risk and whilst our team is not, we need to look after those that are by staying well for them at this time.
