MEET THE NEW PRESIDENT OF THE AFDA!
Grace Funerals are extremely proud to announce that our own Managing Director and Funeral Director, Asha Dooley, has been appointed to the role of President within the Australian Funeral Directors Association (AFDA).
This milestone marks a new chapter in Asha’s career, reflecting her commitment to excellence and her passion for supporting families during their most challenging times.
What is the Australian Funeral Director’s Association?
Formed in 1935, Australian Funeral Directors Association (AFDA) is the peak industry body with Member firms in every State and Territory. AFDA is a public company, limited by guarantee, that is administered by an elected Board with a National Office and six Divisional Offices.
AFDA Member firms are chosen by the majority of families to provide funeral arrangements for their loved ones. AFDA is widely recognised as the authoritative voice on all funeral matters and its key objective is to optimise the funeral experience and ensure quality delivery of service to the wider community by enhancing and promoting professional funeral standards.

New Role and Responsibilities
In her new role as President of the AFDA, Asha will be responsible for overseeing various initiatives, with a focus on revitalisation and innovation aimed at improving industry standards and supporting funeral directors across the state. This position will allow her to advocate for both clients and colleagues, ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained.
